BILL ESPARZA’S FIRST ANNUAL TAQUEANDO FESTIVAL CELEBRATES THE WORLD’S BEST TACOS & TACO CULTURE ON JUNE 15

The lineup of top taqueros & taqueras – curated by one of the country’s leading experts on Mexican food – includes acclaimed, award-winning names from Southern California, Mexico, and beyond.

Los Angeles is known for many things— it’s food, diversity, culture, and of course TACOS. Who doesn’t love tacos. Whether they’re some plain ol’ carne asada tacos with everything on them or blue corn lavishly dressed. And if there’s one person in Los Angeles who knows tacos, it’s Bill Esparza. Some of you might remember Esparza from his previous co-founded festival ‘Tacolandia‘. Now, Esparza is leading the way for a new all-you-can-eat taco festival which includes some of the best award-winning names in the country and beyond. Vendors from Southern California, to Mexico, and even as far as London will be in attendance.

"TAQUEANDO IS A CELEBRATION OF THE TACO LIFESTYLE, AND MEXICAN CULTURE,” says Esparza.

“It’s unique among tasting events in that it brings world-renowned Mexican chefs, Mexican-American innovators, legendary street food vendors, and more traditional mom and pops per square foot, on a tortilla and at a price point that’s accessible to all.”

Taqueando will take place on Saturday, June 15th  at ROW DTLA from 1pm-5pm. Here’s a few things attendees can expect:

• Unlimited tastings from 50 taquerias representing various culinary styles – including traditional, Chicano, modern Mexican, and more – from Southern California, Mexico, and beyond. Highlights include Breddo’s Tacos (London), Coni’Seafood (LA), Chef Wes Avila of Guerilla Tacos (LA), the legendary La Guerrerense (Ensenada), Mariscos Jalisco (LA), Chef Guillermo Gonzalez of World’s 50 Best Restaurant Pangea (Monterrey), Tacos Aaron (Tijuana), Chef Oso Campos of Tacos Kokopelli (Tijuana), James Beard Award nominated Chef Carlos Salgado of Taco María (Orange County), and many more.
• A VIP Happy Hour from 12 – 1PM featuring a dedicated area with exclusive perks, swag, and bonus tastings.
• Live music, including traditional mariachi performances.
