HYPEFEASTHAPPYHOUR: Mix your six

Driving around Los Angeles can be pretty stressful after a long day of work, right? Eh. Scratch that, let’s get some positive vibes. It’s Friday, you’re off work early, your friends are on their way over and you’re ready to let loose. Sounds better already, but it can get better. On your way home you stop by your local Bevmo! (in my case, not so local). There’s so much to choose from when you walk into that place and it’s literally heaven for anyone over 23. I say that cause by that age your taste buds should have already developed themselves into the raging alcoholic that we all are.

Anyways, there’s various ways you can approach walking into Bevmo. Buy a bottle of some good whiskey for the night, some wine for date night or you can go the best way and buy yourself a personalized 6 pack. I’m not sure why I was so late to the party, maybe cause there isn’t enough Bevmo stores, but I was incredibly excited when I came across ‘pick your six’. It really felt like Christmas day and yes I drink on Christmas.

What made things even more exciting was the fact that Racer 5 was available for this pick your six. Now, I know Racer 5 sounds like some random beer, but I assure you if you like IPA’s you’ll fall in love with this beer. So you can only imagine my excitement in selecting my six, two of which were Racer 5. I also picked up a Red Rocket Ale & Hop Rod Rye, all of which are brewed by Bear Republic.

Next, I picked up a Raging Bitch Belgian IPA and last but not least, Ballast Point Sculpin Pale Ale. I picked most of these up because there’s been a lot of buzz along the years coming from some of the brewery’s. I’m by no means a beer expert, but I am in fact a beer expert consumer.
