STARTING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 20 MILLION PACKETS OF SZECHUAN SAUCE WILL BE AVAILABLE ACROSS ALL US MCDONALD’S RESTAURANTS
If you held off on getting your Szechuan Sauce fix back in October, all praises to you. After a shortage of distribution and hundreds of angry fans, McDonald’s has finally made it official. “It’s true,” the company wrote on the promotional site. “Szechuan sauce is back, and in a big way.” Crazy to think that the show ‘Rick & Morty’ had such an impact on making this possible. Without that episode we probably wouldn’t be talking about Szechuan Sauce. I mean, maybe those who tried it back in 1998 know what all the hooplah is about (and those who camped out for it.)
We’ve worked every day since October to bring back much, much, more of the sauce our fans have been craving. And we’re excited to announce that starting Monday, February 26, 20 million packets of Szechuan Sauce will be available across all US McDonald’s restaurants with a qualifying purchase, while supplies last (which this time around, we hope is a while).
So its safe to say that it’ll be back, at least for a while. And while a limited amount of people have tried the then released sauce, we’ll all get to do so very very soon. I just hope its as good as advertised. Cause then it’ll be more then just a pop culture phenomenon. One that will benefit no one else, but McDonalds. Nevertheless, we’ll be ready with our chicken nuggets in hand and Szechuan Sauce dip on February 26th. Let us know what you think of the sauce on any of our social channels, we’d love to hear your thoughts!
